This transformation is more than a facelift. The new site aligns seamlessly with Hanover’s updated branding, already seen in our Here In Hanover E-Newsletter, The Hanover Review, on social media and in other communications.

Most importantly, it’s easier than ever to connect with your County. With improved navigation and an intuitive layout, finding the information you need is faster and more user-friendly. Whether you’re paying a bill, checking meeting dates, exploring parks or learning about County services, the new site is designed with you in mind.

Your Feedback Shaped This Redesign.

In December 2023, Hanover County invited residents, businesses and community members to share what they wanted to see in a modernized County website. The feedback we received shaped nearly every aspect of this redesign. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share your thoughts — this website is truly built around your input.

Survey results showed that many visitors found it difficult to locate information quickly. In response, we completely restructured our navigation into a service-based layout, making it easier for both residents and businesses to find the information most relevant to them. Another common suggestion was to make it easier to find committee and board meetings. Now, you’ll find two calendars right on the homepage — one for all County meetings and another for County events — so it’s simple to stay informed and get involved. We also enhanced the search function, adding targeted keywords across all pages to help you find what you’re looking for more efficiently. And finally, you encouraged us to make the homepage reflect what’s happening now. As a result, the homepage now highlights County news, stories, events, meetings, current projects, and initiatives shaping our community — all front and center.
